Porcelain is certainly the ideal filling. In regard to the strain on the patient in preparing the cavity for porcelain filling instead of gold, it seems to me it is entirely in favor of the inlay, as well as the placing of the same instead of the tedious introduction of gold foil. With regard to inlays dropping out and other such matters, the essayist speaks of hearing of it.
